Asheville police are investigating two drive-by shootings that happened late Thursday night and early Friday morning.
Dennis Gates Miller, 33, and Hope Elizabeth Baker, 42, were taken into custody around 1:53 a.m., Monday, January 13, near the 5 block of the Julianne Place neighborhood in east Asheville.
The fire burned around 32,000 cubic yards of debris and is still smoldering, but representatives from SDR, the Buncombe County Fire Marshal, Weaverville FD, Reems Creek FD and North Carolina Forest Service Law Enforcement Division are on-site monitoring the blaze.

The shooting happened just after 12:45 p.m. Monday at 7 Pink Fox Ridge Road
