Comedy for Community supporting Marshall, NC

Locals supporting locals is the heart of Asheville. Comedy for Community brings all local comedians together each week at Catawba Brewing to support the towns we love through a variety of local charities and organizations. Downtown Marshall lies between cliffs and the French Broad River, which created chaos in the flooding caused by Hurricane Helene. Tickets are $15. Doors open at 6 p.m. Sunday, and the show for ages 16 and older starts at 6:30 p.m.

Cold Mountain Beer & Music Fest

Cold Mountain Release Weekend, a cherished tradition, will continue this year in the wake of Hurricane Helene’s damage to the area. While things may look a little different, Highland Brewing Co. is ready to celebrate this weekend with an incredible local-only lineup of musicians and performing artists. Lift a glass and lift your spirits as we continue moving forward together. Events are scheduled throughout the weekend. Tickets are $10 and up.

RADFest 1.0

The River Arts District (RAD) announces RADFest 1.0, a special two-day celebration marking the first steps in the beloved arts community’s recovery following Hurricane Helene. The festival will take place noon to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Fancy and the Gentlemen

Based out of Asheville, Fancy and the Gentlemen brings an eclectic mix of honky tonk, blues, southern gothic, rock and classical roots to this southern gothic American band. Fancy Marie, Alex Travers, and Craig Kellberg enjoy performing as a full groove-infused band, while staying true to the core that is the artistry that is the songwriting quartet. The free show starts at noon. Doors open at 10 a.m.

Art show and more

Head to Hendersonville from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday to shop and support local artists as well as enjoy some live music (11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m.), demonstrating artists from Art League of Henderson County and raffle baskets of local goods! Drinks and baked goods will also be available for sale by two local vendors, Tart and Tonics and Mini Batch Bakery. All proceeds from the raffle will benefit artists who have been impacted by Hurricane Helene. We can’t wait to see you at the Visitor’s Center Parking Lot!
