Think it’s about time for a hearty laugh? The Botanist and the Barrel is offering Laughter in the Heart of Asheville from 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Friday at 32 Broadway St. Suite 110 in Asheville. For $20, your lighthearted evening doubles as a benefit for the local charities Asheville Comic Aid and BeLoved Asheville. There will also be a free beer with your name on it and an auction.

Holiday Open House at Reems Creek Nursery
Reems Creek Nursery is hosting a Holiday Open House from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. More accurately referred to as an open farm, the nursery plans to ring in the season’s greetings with Christmas trees, alpacas, kettle corn, gift card raffles and more. With the lush nursery setting, this free family-friendly event is set to bring joy to many hearts.

Rise and Rebuild: Disaster Concert at Fallout ArtSpace
Artists have been gifting their talents to much-needed fundraisers for Hurricane Helene recovery efforts for more than a month – and they’re not letting up yet with the Rise and Rebuild concert! From noon to 10 p.m. Saturday at Fallout ArtSpace at 475 Fletcher Martin Road in Alexander, local musicians plan to band together to help our community. Unique to this music festival, organizers have promised “a spectacular nighttime fire arts showcase featuring fire spinning, dancing, and a breathtaking ancestral firewalk, Chakana Crossing.” Vendors will be selling food and drinks. Entry fee is set at $15 per attendee.

Into the Wild: Tina Curry Solo Exhibition
If you’re not keen on heading outdoors as winter fast approaches, consider this indoor wonder. Bronze sculptor Tina Curry will have an exhibition titled “Into the Wild” on display in Grovewood Gallery from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily for the next week. As its title suggests, the showcase will exhibit a variety of animal sculptures sculpted in a variety of mediums. At no charge, you can view the Knoxville artist’s work while sipping on complimentary drinks from Metro Wine.
