ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) —
Rain and thunderstorms are in the Asheville-area’s weekend weather forecast, with chances of showers Friday afternoon increasing Saturday for the possibility of bigger storms, according to the National Weather Service.
The agency reports a chance of showers and thunderstorms before 4 p.m. on Friday, and then a 40 percent chance of precipitation in the evening.
Saturday’s forecast includes showers and the possibility of thunderstorms, with an 80 percent chance of precipitation. New rainfall amounts of a quarter to half an inch were possible both in the morning and evening, the National Weather Service said.
