ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — The biggest event of the year for “families helping families” will return to the WNC Agricultural Center this weekend. Wee Trade is back.

Wee Trade Children’s Consignment is a semiannual three day event held by Grateful Village in Fletcher, N.C.

The spring edition of the market will take place 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday, Feb. 21, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 22 and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 23. A special shopping window for foster families will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on Monday, Feb. 24.

The massive shopping event collects everything from toys, books and clothes to nursery furniture and strollers. Families submit their own items for consignment and buy from others. Items are also donated to local charities through 501c3 nonprofit Chances for Children Carolinas.

According to the Wee Trade website, “in addition to name brand clothing, you can find books, homeschool materials, winter and summer gear, Halloween costumes, sports and dance gear, infant gear, Legos, arts, craft, games, puzzles, gifts and party supplies, décor, bicycles, outdoor play sets, furniture and so much more.”

The showroom floor is constructed in Davis Event Center. The aisles are organized by item, whether article of clothing or type of toy.

While entry to Wee Trade is free for the main event, there are various presale and early access opportunities for certain community members on Friday.
