ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — This week marks Earth Day 2025, the annual celebration of planet Earth and environmental advocacy. Check out these Earth Day festivities going on around the Asheville area:
Earth Day Celebration at Biltmore Park
Beginning at 6 p.m., Tuesday, April 22, Biltmore Park will bring on movement and music for Earth Day.
The evening will begin with a 6 p.m. fun run hosted by Fleet Feet. There will be several race routes through Biltmore Park, stretching for two, three and four miles.
After the fun runs, Taco Boy will host local singer-songwriters Andy and Ruthie Hunter from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on their patio, as well as several jumbo-sized games.
Biltmore Park will also sponsor an Earth Day Celebration prize giveaway. Entry boxes will be located inside Taco Boy, Fleet Feet and REI.
Earth Day Art Festival in downtown Hendersonville
Hendersonville will host an Earth Day Art Festival from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, April 26, in the Hendersonville Visitor Center parking lot, 201 S. Main St.
The Arts Council of Henderson County event will feature live music, food vendors, raffle prizes and Earth-centric artists.
