ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — This year, when you head downtown for a pint — or more — during Asheville Beer Week, it will be about more than celebrating a good brew.
Every pint poured, every ticket sold and every event attended will help fuel the comeback of Asheville’s craft beverage scene, which took a big hit in Tropical Storm Helene.

Asheville Brewers Alliance Executive Director Karis Roberts described the event as a collaboration as much as a celebration.
“It’s a celebration of breweries and beverage producers across Western North Carolina, who are encouraging folks to get out into the tap rooms and drink delicious beverages,” Roberts said.
“Sometimes, there’s educational pieces as well as new beer releases, beer tastings, beer dinners, beer games and more.”

The celebration, which runs May 15-29, will feature a dinner highlighting female entrepreneurship and innovation.
The Pintxo Party will feature longtime friends and Asheville tastemakers Chef Katie Button (Cúrate Tapas Bar), Jess Reiser (Burial Beer) and Jael Skeffington (French Broad Chocolates).

“Every year we have some kind of really special beer dinner, and this year it’s going to be a female powerhouse,” Roberts said. “They’re doing like a dessert, dinner and beer pairing kind of situation.”
This year, stop by and raise a glass for Asheville.
