ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — Asheville police arrested a man Tuesday evening after finding him hiding in a closet inside a home he is accused of breaking into.
Officers responded to a residence on Oteen Church Road at about 5:58 p.m. May 13 for a reported breaking and entering in progress. When officers searched the home, they found Michael Lynn Turnbough, 57, hiding in a closet.
Turnbough was taken into custody and charged in connection with the break-in. He was also served with outstanding warrants from previous incidents.

- Resist, delay, obstruct (M)
Warrants served:
- Breaking and entering to terrorize (F)
- Interfere with emergency communication (M)
- Injury to personal property (M)
- Domestic criminal trespass (M)
- Assault on female (M)
- Crime of domestic violence (M)
- Domestic violence protective order violation (M)
Turnbough was booked into the Buncombe County Detention Facility. According to the jail website, total bond is $32,500.
