ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — Brunk Auctions is partnering with the Vetust Study Club of Asheville and the Preservation Society of Asheville and Buncombe County to host Heirloom Discovery Day, a ticketed event giving the public an opportunity to uncover the value and history of personal treasures.

Set for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 7 at Brunk Auctions’ Asheville gallery, the event invites attendees to bring items such as jewelry, coins, paintings, sculptures, silver and furniture for a verbal valuation by the auction house’s team of specialists.

Tickets are priced at $15 for one item or $40 for up to three items and are available in one-hour time slots. A limited number of tickets may be available at the door on a first-come, first-served basis, though availability is not guaranteed.

Proceeds from the event will support the Vetust Study Club and PSABC. Participants are asked to briefly describe the items they plan to bring when purchasing tickets.
