ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — From the mayor’s office to school boards and Congress, Asheville and Buncombe County voters have a range of choices in the Nov. 3 election.

This guide groups candidates by office and provides links to their campaign websites or public campaign social media pages. Names and party labels follow the Buncombe County Board of Elections candidate detail report dated Aug. 13, 2026. Campaign links were researched Oct. 7.

The races on your ballot depend on where you live. Check your sample ballot through the N.C. State Board of Elections.

Municipal, school board and soil and water races are nonpartisan. Party labels below appear only for partisan races. Candidates are listed alphabetically within each race. Statewide U.S. Senate and appellate court races are outside this local guide’s scope.

“Link not confirmed” means a campaign website or campaign social page could not be confidently identified. It does not mean the candidate has no online presence. Some Facebook pages may require a login.
