ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — Asheville Rides Transit (ART) will begin returning to full service on all routes starting Tuesday, July 1, city officials said.
Key changes include the return of 30-minute service on the WE1 (eastbound), as well as increased frequency on routes N3 and W6. Full service on route N2 will also resume, and the N1 route will no longer detour via Beaverdam Road.
City officials cautioned that some trip cancellations may still occur because of ongoing staffing fluctuations. Riders are encouraged to monitor service updates through iRide alerts and the Transit Service Alerts page.
The city is working in partnership with transit operator RATPDEV to hire and train additional drivers in an effort to restore full and reliable service as quickly as possible.
