What to expect at From Death to Mourning
According to a social media post by the Thomas Wolfe Memorial, the “From Death to Mourning” event will be an open-house style event, with guests free to roam the Old Kentucky Home for “stories of deaths, spiritualism, and halloween [sic] traditions of the early 1900s.”
Wolfe, who was born in Asheville on Oct. 3, 1900 and died at the age of 37 from complications with miliary tuberculosis, was previously honored this month for a celebration of his 125th birthday at Asheville’s Riverside Cemetery, where the “Look Homeward, Angel” author lies buried.
