ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — Next month, Marquee Asheville will ring in four years of Asheville community with a Valentine’s celebration.
“Love, Marquee” will be held from 6-9 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 12 at Marquee, located at 36 Foundy St. in the River Arts District.
Community, resilience and connection
“This Valentine’s season, Marquee is celebrating four years of community, resilience, and connection,” the gallery wrote in a press release. “On Thursday, February 12, Marquee invites the community to come together for a special 4-Year Anniversary Valentine’s Celebration, marking a powerful year of rebirth and reopening with an evening dedicated to love and gratitude for the community.”

Marquee, a gallery which houses work from dozens of Asheville artists and vendors, was one of the businesses hardest hit by Tropical Storm Helene in September 2024. however, just a year later, Marquee reopened, leading the vanguard of RAD revitalization on Foundy Street.
The Valentine’s celebration will look back on the four year history of Marquee, in addition to last year’s recovery, with festivities like a DJ set by Ganymede, a special appearance by Street Creatures, sweet treats, Valentine’s cocktails and a “Love Letter Community Wall.”
The Love Letter wall, produced in collaboration with Battery Park Book Exchange and Story Parlor, encourages guests to write notes of love and appreciation for their community to paste on the wall.
BPBE and Story Parlor weren’t the only businesses to join in for the celebration.
“Marquee Asheville extends heartfelt thanks to community partner Open Doors Asheville for their support in making this event possible,” Marquee wrote.
