ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — The Western North Carolina AIDS Project will hold its 24th annual Dining Out For Life fundraiser this April at participating restaurants all over Asheville and Western North Carolina.
The WNCAP fundraiser will commence on Thursday, April 30, presented by Fred Anderson’s Prestige Subaru and supported by the Asheville Independent Restaurant Association.
“Dining Out For Life is one of the oldest and most popular fundraisers in our region, celebrating both our local restaurant industry and WNCAP’s life saving programs and services. The money raised will help provide care coordination, rental assistance, education, overdose reversal kits and more,” WNCAP wrote in a press release.
The fundraiser is simple: go out to eat at a participating restaurant on Thursday, April 30, and the restaurant will donate a percentage of its proceeds that evening to WNCAP, aiding the fight against AIDS.
“For 40 years, WNCAP has been providing care and support to people living with HIV, and I’m proud of how our work has grown to meet the evolving needs of our community. Whether we’re delivering food to a homebound client or working with a landlord to prevent an eviction, we know these efforts save lives, and they reflect how deeply the WNCAP team cares about each individual we serve,” said WNCAP CEO Antonio Del Toro in the release.
According to the WNCAP website, there are over 30 restaurants participating in the fundraiser so far.
Restaurants may register for the event at www.wncap.app.neoncrm.com/forms/73.
