ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — Buncombe County residents who take their trash to the transfer station off Hominy Creek Road may have found getting in there a little difficult lately.
The station is experiencing traffic congestion and delays because of North Carolina Department of Transportation road work in the area, county officials said in a news release.
Customers should expect delays in accessing the Buncombe County Transfer Station, officials warned in a Facebook post. They even suggested customers take their garbage and recycling to the Buncombe County Landfill at 85 Panther Branch Road until the roadwork near the transfer station is completed.
