ASHEVILLE, N. C. (828newsNOW) — Asheville police say the investigation into the July 19 Biltmore Avenue shooting that killed two people and injured seven others remains active, with no arrests announced.

Police have previously said investigators identified several suspects and co-conspirators, but APD has not publicly released their names or said whether they are local or whether investigators have interviewed them.

“Our investigators and all of our LEO partners have been working around the clock since the shooting to develop leads in this case,” Asheville Police Department Public Information Officer Rick Rice said.

Rice said information about the suspects and a possible motive remains part of the active investigation.

Police are continuing to ask anyone with information about the shooting to come forward, even if they think the information may be insignificant.
