Margaret Haney McKinney, 82 went home to be with the Lord on August 20th at her home. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and will be dearly missed by her husband of 61 years, Clayton “Tink” McKinney, her children Debbie Whitley and husband Jeff, Mike McKinney and wife Carrie, Tracy Crowe and husband Tommy, her 8 grandchildren and one which preceded her in death.

She was a woman of faith and family.  She loved her church and church family Trinity Baptist Church, where she was an active member for 33 years. She cherished her time with her family, loving on her sweetheart (Tink) her sweet puppies Joe & Sophie, going to yard sales with her girls, Thursdays on the porch with family and playing with her grandkids also known as her “doll babies”.

The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 23 at Trinity Baptist Church, Asheville. Her memorial service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the sanctuary. Pastor Winston Parrish, Pastor Nathan Hawkins, Pastor Allen Rash and Pastor Tommy Crowe will officiate.

Above all were thankful to know without a doubt that she had a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and because of that we know that we don’t have to say goodbye, only goodnight, and we’ll see you in the morning.

The family would like to thank Four Seasons Hospice for all the kind and loving care they provided for Margaret.

Asheville Mortuary Services is honored to serve the McKinney family.
