ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — An incident on Interstate 40 near Wiggins Road in Haywood County was causing moderate traffic delays Friday afternoon, the NCDOT reported.
The incident, reported around 2:33 p.m., occurred about two miles west of Exit 37, near mile marker 35 heading west toward Canton.
Traffic congestion was expected to continue for roughly an hour, with authorities monitoring the situation to clear the roadway safely.
According to the WNC Road Warriors Facebook group, the incident is a crash involving a motorcycle.
