ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828NewsNow.com) — Mission Hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit’s babies were recently all dressed up for Halloween.

According to an Oct. 30 news release from the hospital, the babies had a special holiday photo shoot recently. They were dressed up in costumes like Winnie the Pooh, Captain America, a mermaid, a strawberry and even a tiny dinosaur hatching from an egg.

Below are the photos provided by Mission Hospital:

Costumes were provided by Preemies of the Carolinas, the release said.

“The Mission Children’s team loves finding ways to bring a little extra joy and normalcy to families spending holidays in the hospital and to create sweet memories they can treasure long after they go home,” Mission Hospital said in the release.

Mission Hospital said that behind all the cuteness is a highly-skilled team providing the most advanced neonatal care available in Western North Carolina. Mission Hospital said in the release that it is home to the region’s only Level III NICU, giving families access to a high level of specialized care for premature and critically ill newborns without having to leave WNC.
