ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — The Asheville Fire Department has responded to a structure fire around 388 Riverside Drive, the site of the former White Duck Taco restaurant.
Fire crews were on the scene around 11 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 14, 2026.
John Harbin, AFD communication specialist, said that AFD had responded to a report of a structure fire at 388 Riverside Drive, but no other information is available at this time.
Smoke is visible in the area from Interstate 26 on Bowen Bridge and cars on Riverside Drive are reportedly being turned around as fire crews battle the blaze. Motorists be advised.
