ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — Asheville Media Group (AMG) is thrilled to announce the launch of the Santa Pal Toy Drive, benefiting a cherished community organization dedicated to spreading holiday joy.

With a remarkable legacy of more than 85 years, the Asheville Optimist Club’s Santa Pal program continues to bring smiles and happiness to children and families in the Asheville area.

The Santa Pal Toy Drive officially kicks off on Dec. 2 and will run through Dec. 11. AMG invites community members to help make this holiday season special for the hundreds of children and families Santa Pal will serve through the program this year.

Donations of new, unwrapped toys can be dropped off at designated Asheville area locations. Santa Pal has also requested donations of new coats and blankets for children ages 2-12.

Every donation brings a moment of joy and a lasting memory to a child and is greatly appreciated.

How to donate

Donate new, unwrapped toys, coats & blankets: Community members can drop off donations at any of the participating drop-off locations, starting Dec. 2:

  • Massage Envy South (1863 Hendersonville Road, Suite 100, Asheville)
  • Alan’s Jewelry & Pawn Asheville (1186 Patton Avenue and 736 Tunnel Road)
  • Asheville Media Group (1190 Patton Avenue, Asheville)

Drive-thru donations: To make donations as convenient as possible, join AMG radio stations Mix 96.5 (WOXL-FM) and 98.1 The River (WOXL HD2) for a drive-thru donation from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, at the following locations:
