ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — The Asheville Humane Society Thrift Store is promising a “tail-wagging good time” at their inaugural Springfest event.

Springfest will run from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday, April 16 at the thrift store, located in the River Ridge Shopping Center, 800 Fairview Road.

Springfest will run from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday, April 16 at the thrift store.

“We’ve got a little station set up outside,” said thrift store assistant manager June Wells. “We do free face painting for all ages, we’ve got dog treats to give out and little bandanas for the dogs.”

The face painting, treats and bandanas are all free for visitors. The event also coincides with the thrift store’s regular Wednesday sale: 50% off all clothing items. The proceeds from purchases made will go directly to Asheville Humane.

“Everything goes to the humane society,” Wells promised.
