ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — Traffic and businesses on Tunnel Road were disrupted earlier this afternoon by a gas leak, which has now been stymied.

According to a representative from Enbridge Gas, crews secured the leak, which was caused by third-party damage to a gas line, around 3 p.m today.

Enbridge crews remain onsite to finish repairs to the gas line and restore service to impacted customers. Tunnel Road has reopened.
