ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — A local shelter is looking for a special home for Fredrick, a 4-year-old, 75-pound mixed-breed dog described as playful and affectionate.
Fredrick responds to some commands, loves food and enjoys cuddling, but he needs to be the only pet in the household so he can remain the center of attention, Asheville Humane Society staff said.
Fredrick has a skin condition known as atopy, which is currently managed with medication, a special diet and weekly baths — activities he enjoys.
The adoption fee for Fredrick has been waived, and the family that takes him home will also get a $50 Ingles gift card.
“He is such a sweetie,” shelter staff said.
