HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) —

Hendersonville police are sounding the alarm after a string of vehicle break-ins.

A press release from the department said officers received reports about several overnight break-ins involving two suspects.

A spokesperson for the city of Hendersonville told 828newsNOW officers responded to 10 reports of break-ins that occurred overnight “into the early morning hours of Wednesday, June 26, 2024.”

“Two suspects wearing masks and hoodies broke into multiple vehicles on the south side of the City of Hendersonville,” the police report shared with 828newsNOW said.

The city spokesperson said that police don’t have any specific descriptions of the suspects as they were masked. However, officials said the two suspects are considered armed and dangerous.

Police shared the following tips for protecting your vehicle:

  • Lock your vehicle doors and close your windows.
  • Never leave valuables in plain sight.
  • Avoid leaving tools or other items in truck beds.
  • Park in well-lit areas whenever possible.

Police strongly discouraged anyone from directly confronting these thieves, rather, they said you should call 911 immediately.
