FAIRVIEW, N.C. (828newsNOW) — Authorities have identified the three people found dead Thursday night inside a Fairview home as members of the same family.
The victims were identified as 41-year-old Travis Eugene Grant, 42-year-old Kimberly Michelle Grant and 66-year-old Sharon Harwood Grant.
Travis and Kimberly Grant were married. Sharon Grant was Travis Grant’s mother.
Deputies responded about 7:15 p.m. Thursday, May 7, to a welfare check call at 18 Ashworth Drive in Fairview. When deputies entered the home, they found three people dead.
During the investigation, detectives determined that a 16-year-old girl who lived at the residence was missing and unaccounted for. The teen was located early Friday in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, accompanied by a male.
The investigation remains active, but authorities say there is no threat to the public.
The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and Gatlinburg Police Department are assisting in the case.
