ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) —

Attention Erwin School District families. If you have school-age children who need their vaccines, mark Thursday on your calendar.

A vaccine clinic is set for 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Thursday, July 11, at the Warrior Wellness Center on the Erwin Middle School campus.

The clinic is open to all Erwin District students who need their vaccines for seventh grade or high school and students entering kindergarten who have had all their vaccines except those required to start school.

Vaccine schedule, according to a news release from the Warrior Wellness Center:

  • Kindergarten: DTap/Polio (required), MMR/Varicella (required)
  • 7th grade: Meningococcal (required), Tdap (required), HPV (required)
  • 12th grade: 2nd Memingococcal (required), Meningococcal B (recommended)

Students’ parents or guardians must be present to sign the vaccine consent forms. If you have insurance, please bring your insurance card with you.

Students must be registered with Blue Ridge Health to utilize the school-based health center. Registration may be completed during this visit.
