ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — Earlier this month, a home on the top floor of a Broadway Street building in downtown Asheville sold for $3.15 million in a record-breaking transaction.

The sale, announced by Howard Hanna-Beverly Hanks Real Estate, was of 75 Broadway St., Unit #301, a 4,365-square-foot condo merged from two distinct units into one large space.

According to the real estate firm, the residence is “the highest-priced condo sale ever recorded in downtown Asheville – a record previously set by the exact same residence in 2021.”

The Broadway Street condo was previously featured on Ultimate House Hunt, an HGTV program, in 2021.

The sale was facilitated by listing agent Brent Russell.

“Representing this award-winning home for a second record-breaking sale is a true honor,” said Russell in a press release. “Properties of this caliber – where historic significance, custom architectural design and an unbeatable downtown location align – are extraordinarily rare. Being able to deliver exceptional results for my clients through tailored marketing strategies is always my highest priority.”

The home features French hardwood flooring, Venetian plaster walls, marble baths, exposed brick and wood and black steel beams in its construction. Its rooms include a great room with a floor-to-ceiling library wall, a chef’s kitchen and day room, as well as a climate-controlled four-car garage.
