ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — One person died after a fight at an Asheville apartment complex on Saturday night.
Officers responded to a report of a fight with weapons at an apartment complex on Depot Street about 7:22 p.m., Asheville police said in a news release. Police did not say what type of weapons were involved.
Responding officers found a man suffering from serious injuries. The victim was transported to Mission Hospital, where he died from his injuries, police said in the release.
The victim’s identity is being withheld until detectives complete next-of-kin notifications.
A person of interest was taken into custody, and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
