77th annual Craft Fair of the Southern Highlands

Check out some awesome arts and crafts! From July 18-21, artisans will fill both the concourse and arena levels of Harrah’s Cherokee Center-Asheville with a variety of crafts ranging from contemporary to traditional works of clay, wood, metal, glass and much more.

Tickets are $12 each, children under 12 can enter for free.

Downtown After 5

A staple of Asheville’s cultural calendar, Downtown After 5 offers up an eclectic mix of music and themes, alongside collaborations with local nonprofit organizations. The event happens every third Friday of each month from 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. April through September at 97 North Lexington Avenue.

July 19 is serving as the “official kick-off to AVL Fest” with Caitlin Krisko & The Broadcast as headliners, with The Greenliners opening. AVL Fest runs from Aug. 1-4.

Sunset You-Pick Flowers

If you’re looking for something a little more low-key, Pinnacle Farms in Waynesville is hosting a ‘You-Pick’ event in their field of flowers. Participants can pick a cup or bucket of “beautiful local flowers and enjoy all the color in the half acre field.” Located at 2900 old Balsam Road, admission is $5 per person over the age of 10 — 10 and under is free. You-pick flower cups are $25 and a 2-gallon bucket of you-pick flowers are $90. (tax included) Admission fee will be waived with purchase of flowers. Tickets sold upon arrival.

Folkmoot USA festival

Head over to Haywood County Friday and Saturday for the Folkmoot festival!

On Friday, Folkmoot USA International Evening will take place in downtown Canton from 4-9 p.m., hosting a multicultural parade “celebrating the diverse tapestry of our community.”

On Saturday, Folkmoot USA International Day will take place in downtown Waynesville from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This event features captivating performances, a variety of local and international artisans and mouth-watering culinary delights.

Muse of Fire: Shakespeare’s Wars of the Roses, Part 3, Henry IV, 1 & 2

Join the incredible Montford Park Players as they present the entire Shakespearean Wars of the Roses Cycle. Part 3 will be performed Friday through Sunday, July 19-21.
