Art for lovers or for the love of art

Speaking of photos, Asheville photographer Parker Pfister invites registration for an intimate Valentine’s Day portrait session from 5-10 p.m. at The Radical Asheville, 95 Roberts St. The black and white silver gelatin photographs will be created with an 8×10 wooden camera, ready to view digitally on Feb. 15 and delivered physically by Feb. 21. The sessions, typically $1500, will cost $250 during the event. Book a session here.
If you and your partner want to get a little more hands-on with your portraits, Trackside Studios will be offering a Paint Your Partner workshop from 3-5 p.m. at their 375 Depot St. gallery. For $65 per partner pair, all painting supplies will be provided. Book a spot here.
The fiber goods retailer Local Cloth will host a Valentine’s Day Make + Take event from noon to 4 p.m. at their 408 Depot St. shop. The public is invited to create their own handmade fiber project, free to take home afterward.
