ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — A man was given a felony charge for child abuse following an investigation into the sexual abuse of a Rutherford County child.
Asheville Police Department Detectives have charged John Reynolds Malloy IV, 60, with felony indecent liberties with a child and misdemeanor child abuse following an investigation into the sexual abuse of a child.
Working with the Rutherford County Department of Social Services, APD detectives charged and arrested the 60-year-old Malloy in connection to an incident that occurred in November 2024.
Malloy was booked into the Buncombe County Detention Facility under a $30,000 bond issued by a magistrate.
