HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — Hendersonville will host its annual Fourth of July parade on Friday, July 4, with several road closures and schedule changes planned to accommodate the day’s festivities.
The parade is set to begin at 10:30 a.m., with participant line-up starting at 9 a.m. on Main Street south of Caswell Street. No parking will be allowed along the parade route after 6 a.m., and Main Street will close to traffic around 9 a.m. Side avenues will remain open until about 15 minutes before the parade begins.

After the parade, Main Street from Caswell to 3rd Avenue will remain closed as crews prepare for evening celebrations, including live music beginning at 5 p.m.
Parking will be available at the city parking deck at Fifth Avenue and Church Street. Free parking is also available outside the Church and King Street boundaries, including free on-street parking along Church Street. Access to the fourth floor of the parking deck will be restricted during the fireworks display, and barricades will be in place beginning early Friday morning.
City officials remind residents that fireworks and large crowds can distress pets and recommend leaving them at home during the celebration. Event details are available here.
In observance of Independence Day, city of Hendersonville offices will be closed on July 4. Garbage, recycling and brush collection services will be suspended and will resume for Friday customers on July 11. For water or sewer emergencies during the holiday, residents should call (828) 891-7779.
