RUTHERFORDTON, N.C. (828newsNOW) — A rare 1953 Willys Jeep was reported stolen following a recent break-in on Polk County Line Road, according to the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities said the vintage green Jeep, along with a 2012 Yamaha dual sport motorcycle, were taken sometime between July 13 and July 17.
The Willys Jeep, recognizable for its military-style design, is considered a collector’s item. Investigators believe its distinct appearance may help the public identify it.
