Armed fugitive apprehended by APD, NCSBI in West Asheville
Wanted fugitive Tyrone Rushad Brown, 36, was arrested this week by the Asheville Police Department in collaboration with the North Carolina Bureau of Investigation.

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — Wanted fugitive Tyrone Rushad Brown, 36, was arrested this week by the Asheville Police Department in collaboration with the North Carolina Bureau of Investigation.
Brown was taken into custody without incident around 12:45 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 21 in the 400 block of Smokey Park Highway in West Asheville. Brown had an active warrant for a Federal Probation Violation, and during the arrest, was found to be in possession of a firearm and drugs.

Brown was charged with:
One felony count of possession of firearm by felon
One felony count of possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver Schedule II
Two felony counts of possession of Schedule II
Possession of drug paraphernalia
Carrying concealed gun
One warrant for extradition/fugitive from other state
Brown was booked into the Buncombe County Detention Facility under a $100,000 secured bond issued by a magistrate.
