ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — Following reports of a stabbing at the McDonald’s on 950 Patton Ave. in West Asheville, Asheville Police Department has confirmed that no weapons were involved in an incident which led to minor injuries and one arrest.

According to APD Public Information Officer Rick Rice, APD officers arrived at the McDonald’s around 8:46 a.m., Friday, May 8.

“Through investigation, it was determined that a verbal altercation escalated to a physical confrontation with no weapons involved,” Rice said. “The offender required medical treatment for minor injuries and has been charged with 2 counts of Assault and 1 count of Disorderly Conduct.”
