Thousands of people are without power around the Asheville area after severe thunderstorms hit the region this evening.
Following a tornado warning and severe thunderstorms today, thousands have been left without power, Buncombe County warned in an emergency alert.
The Henderson County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that an 18-year-old man was found deceased at a local park. The incident is currently under investigation.
