WEAVERVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — The Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a death that occurred in the Reems Creek community earlier today.
According to a BCSO news release, deputies responded to a report of a gunshot wound earlier today, Monday, Jan. 13 at 7 Pink Fox Ridge Road in the Reems Creek community outside of Weaverville, N.C.
Upon arrival, deputies discovered one male victim who had been killed by a gunshot wound to the head.
According to the release, multiple subjects have been detained and the investigation remains ongoing.
However, this is “an isolated incident” with “no threat to the community at this time,” said the news release.
