ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — The Asheville Police Department is seeking the help of public in locating Marcellus Tremaine Robinson, 38, an Asheville man wanted on several counts of domestic violence and assault.
According to an APD release, officers arrived around 11:21 p.m. on Tuesday, March 4 at the 100 block of Atkinson Street in west Asheville after receiving a report of a domestic disturbance.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a female victim in a disoriented state. Witnesses said that a male offender, determined by an APD investigation to be Robinson, had assaulted the woman. Robinson fled the scene of the crime prior to APD arrival and remains at large.
Robinson is described as a Black male, 6 feet tall and weighing 200 pounds, and has black hair in cornrows, brown eyes, a mustache and a beard. He has multiple tattoos, including tribal markings on his upper back, “HUSTLE” on his left forearm, a scorpion on his right arm and a skeleton on his upper arm.
Robinson is wanted on charges including:
- Felony assault by strangulation
- Assault on a female
- Crime of domestic violence
- Communicating threats
- Assault with a deadly weapon
